Lawrence David will be debuting their new builders’ merchant drop-side truck at the NEC this April. The 26T 6X2 Volvo chassis is fitted with a Hiab duo crane and will be used as a demonstrator vehicle for Volvo, taking centre stage on the Lawrence David stand at the CV Show this year.
“We wanted to offer our customers a vehicle that would suit their future demands in the builders’ merchant market.”
Said Technical Director, Andy Richardson.
“Our builders’ merchant drop-sider has been highly anticipated and will definitely add a spring to the groundwork’s sector of the building trade.”
Along with the Hiab crane and Kinshoffer brick stack grapple, the builders truck comes with a number of features including 360° camera monitoring, pneumatically raised and lowered spray suppression and a modular designed build, allowing complete customer configuration.
On the Lawrence David stand will also be a new 13.6M moving floor double deck box trailer constructed with 7.5 mm thin composite panels with a 9M hydraulic lifting deck as well as a new, 3.5T concept home delivery vehicle with its light-weight bonded body & improved aerodynamics.
Further to the inside exhibits, Lawrence David will be exhibiting a 13.6M pallet network step-frame double deck Curtainsider fitted with our new modular hybrid deck. The pre-galvanised steel frame houses a yellow GRP non-slip open grid floor, improving deck visibility when loading as well as reducing the environmental impact when manufactured, as less galvanising is required.
But it’s not just new vehicles that you will find on the LD stand this year at the CV Show. Trailer-eye from Lawrence David is a cost effective tracking solution that will suit fleets of all sizes.
