Dropside Rigid
Our modular Dropside bodies can be built upon various chassis types, with either fully galvanised steel or aluminium sub-frames and Dropside heights from 500mm – 1000mm.
Our Dropside bodies are extremely versatile and configurable. Whether you need a 7.5t Dropside with a crane, or a 32t Dropside with a Beaver-tail, we work with you to meet your operational requirements.
At Lawrence David, safety matters. Our Dropside Rigids come with a host of health and safety features ranging from work lamps, through to fall prevention systems and high visibility handrails.

All Bolted Construction
Our bodies are modular and built using ‘All Bolted Construction’. This has proven to increase the life of our Dropside Rigids and makes them easier to repair as time passes. You simply unbolt the damaged part and bolt on a new one – it couldn’t be simpler.

Integrated Dropside Body
Modular dropside heights from 500mm to 1000mm. Double securing mechanism is available and offers rapid access to the loading area. Integrated swing pillar dropside fasteners are available for maximum loading access and body flexibility.

Aluminium Sub-frame
With an aluminium sub-frame, our design offers maximum payload with no loss of strength in the body.
Light & Durable Non-Slip Flooring
Interlocking construction rated aluminium plank flooring comes as standard to reduce the overall weight. This is cross-machined to provide an anti-slip surface to ensure operator safety.
Safety Features
We offer a wide variety of safety features as optional extras, ranging from fall prevention options through to tubular, high visibility hand rails and step access, we care about the safety of the drivers using our bodies. Work Area Lamps are a standard feature for dedicated operational safety.
Choice of Ancillary Equipment
We offer you the choice of front, mid or rear mounted cranes, truck mounted fork-lifts. We can even add a rear or side mounted tail-lift if your operation requires it. Your requirements dictate our solutions.
Full 3D Solid Modelling & Design
Our 3D Solid Modelling software gives us total control over the components used to build our bodies, so we know the parts fit right the first time. We manufacture most components ourselves – quality comes guaranteed.
